Social Media QR Code for Your Profile
A social media QR code opens your profile on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, Threads, Facebook, GitHub, Telegram, WhatsApp, LINE or KakaoTalk. Pick the network, type your handle and the correct profile link is built for you. It is ideal for shop windows, packaging, name badges and event booths.
How the profile link is built
Each network has its own address pattern. For example, a YouTube handle becomes https://youtube.com/@yourname, Telegram uses https://t.me/yourname and WhatsApp uses https://wa.me/ followed by the phone number in international digits. The code stores that link; if the person has the app installed, the phone usually opens the profile in the app rather than the browser.
Getting the handle right
- Enter the username without the @ symbol and without the full URL.
- For LinkedIn, use the custom part of your public profile address.
- For WhatsApp, enter the full number with country code; the code opens a chat with that number.
- Open the generated link yourself once to confirm it lands on the right profile.
Several profiles, one code?
A QR code can hold only one destination. If you want to show several networks, create a simple links page on your own website and use a Website code instead, or print separate small codes with the network logo on each. Adding the network icon as the logo and a frame such as Follow us helps people decide to scan.
Handles do change; if you rename an account, the printed code will point to the old name.
How to make it
- Open Create and choose Social media.
- Select the network and enter your handle or number.
- Add the network icon or your brand logo and a matching colour.
- Confirm the scan test, then download PNG for screens or SVG/PDF for print.
Frequently asked questions
Does an Instagram or TikTok QR code expire?
No. It is a static link to your profile and keeps working as long as the account name stays the same.
What if I change my username?
The old code will lead to the old name, which may be taken by someone else. Create a new code, or use a links page on your own domain that you can update.
Can I use the network logo on my code?
Many platforms allow their icon to be used to point to your profile under their brand guidelines. Check the guidelines of the network you are using.
